Bakul and its members have been recognized in many ways in the media and by various organizations at different times. The online campaign ( www.pledgebank.com/bakul-library ) that led to the starting of the library has become an international case study. Then Action Without Borders ( www.idealist.org) which is the largest network in the non-profit sector worldwide found our story inspirational and has interviewed us for one of its first podcasts.  They have already talked about Bakul (Read the story here). The Bakul pledge campaign is also being used as a case study in IIM Calcutta and in a Delhi University undergraduate textbook. BTW (By the Way), a magazine brought out an Independence Day Special Issue (August 15 2007) on Young Action Heroes of India and featured Sujit Mahapatra of Bakul as one of those heroes.
